NOTE: If this is your first e-mail account on your device, tap "Mail" and proceed to step 3.
- Tap "Settings"
- Tap "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" under Settings and tap "Add Account..." under Accounts.
- Tap "Microsoft Exchange" under Add Account...
- NOTE: Make sure you select Exchange and not Outlook.com. Outlook.com is for the service previously known as hotmail.
- Enter your e-mail address (e.g. username@thomasmore.edu) in the "Email" field.
- Enter a name for the account in the "Description" field.
- NOTE: You can use any short name that's meaningful to you, such as "TMC e-mail".
- Tap "Configure Manually"
- In the Exchange dialog box:
- Enter your e-mail address (e.g. username@thomasmore.edu) in the "Email" field.
- Enter your e-mail address (e.g. username@thomasmore.edu) in the "Username" field.
- Enter your password in the "Password" field.
- Enter a name for the account in the "Description" field.
- NOTE: You can use any short name that's meaningful to you, such as "TMC e-mail".
- Tap "Next" in the upper right corner.
- Verify the "Server" field was filled in automatically, then tap "Next" in the upper right corner of the Exchange dialog box.
- NOTE: If your iOS device is unable to automatically locate the correct Office 365 server name, please use outlook.office365.com for the server name.
- In the Exchange Account dialog box:
- Choose the type of information you want to synchronize.
- NOTE: By default, Mail, Calendar, and Contacts are all turned on. You can turn off synchronization for any of these.
- Tap "Save" in the upper right corner.
- Push the Home button on your device, and tap "Mail" or "Calendar" to confirm that you've set up your Office 365 account information.
