Description

An introductory course that provides students with an overview of developing an entrepreneurial mindset, the entrepreneurship process, and innovation; and how they can be used in personal and professional development, problem solving, developing leadership skills, and how to be uncomfortable with uncertainty. Topics of discussion include entrepreneurial intelligence, idea generation, and entrepreneurship and innovation related concepts. Students will study entrepreneurs and the enterprises they create(d) with special attention directed toward the collaborative characteristics and behaviors required for successful entrepreneurial activity and innovation. Students will learn the concepts of entrepreneurship as a process of economic or social value creation, rather than the single event of starting a business.
