Description

Prerequisite: MUS 155 This course provides building blocks for musical literacy in developing comprehensive musicianship skills in three main areas: melody/counterpoint, harmony, and rhythm/meter. This course prepares students through the study of rhythm, intervals, phrases, melodies, chords and chord progressions. Chord study includes primary and secondary triads in root position and an introduction to inversions.
